September 27th, 2010 – What an amazing season! After 10 hard rounds of racing, I completed every lap except 1 in the TDI Cup, as well as adding 40 bonus laps for a win and two podiums, which means the final total is 183 laps. This means we have combined to raise an incredible $12,550 for Right To Play! Thank you so much to everyone who has been part of this amazing program!

August 30th, 2010 – Racing for the Right To Play is getting ready for its final round September 26th, which means this is the last chance to get your name on the hood of a race car while helping out a great cause at the same time. So far we have had 18 companies and individuals step up to raise close to $9000 for Right To Play, which means there is a great chance of reaching our goal to raise $10,000 during the season finale in Puebla, Mexico! The final design for the hood decal that will feature the names of everyone who pledged their support is due in by Friday, September 10th, so you will need to sign up before then if you want the chance to have your name travelling at over 200km/hr. August 22nd, 2010 – I have just returned home after a fabulous weekend at Road America for Rounds 7 & 8 of the the TDI Cup. On Saturday I was able to complete all 11 laps, coming up just short of the podium in 5th. But today I was able to improve, by finishing 3rd in the 12 lap race I added 10 extra bonus laps to our total for Right To Play. When you include 25% of my prize money, we raised over $1900 this weekend alone! Thanks to everyone for their support. To read more about the weekend check out the News page

On the top of the podium in Utah

June 6th, 2010 – Managed my first win of the season today! Very exciting, as that adds 20 bonus laps to the 15 race laps from today for a total of 35 laps accumulated this weekend! All in all that means 91laps are in the bag and we have already raised close to $3000. Thanks to everyone for their support. To read the race report click here!

May 9th, 2010 – Finished all 19 laps today at New Jersey Motorsports Park, which means we raised $550 for Right To Play! Thanks to everyone again for the support. Unfortunately I had some bad luck in qualifying meaning I had to battle through from the back to finish a respectable 8th. Set the fastest lap of the race so I know the speed was there to win!

April 25th, 2010 – A great day today at VIR! Despite some shoulder problems I was able to hang on for a 3rd place finish and my first podium of the year. That brings the weekend total over $1000. The race report is online at jakethompson.ca/2010/04/day-3-at-vir-on-the-podium/
